I have written the lyrics for two newer songs for RiotGod. As far as that is concerned: we practiced last night and discussed the upcoming show on Saturday at a joint called Chasers.

My gal Courvoisier and I are moving -- so that can be added to the group of challenges that has been effecting my personal music situation, along with techno-snafus.

I am currently transferring to my comp the pictures of the Stone Pony gig that Kevin Hodapp took. He used to shoot Metallica back in the day. Like Kill'em All period.

Link about the gig at the Stone Pony. Show went a wee bit crazily, from the ripped up streets confusing people where to park to who knows what else. But there were people in attendance and that was great.

RiotGod 04 08

I don't know who comes here -- morbidly curious souls? I have not updated anything, but really, what is to update? I was looking back over the months and have found it entertaining, recalling incidents, more so recording and writing, for our gigs have been few. My update will be a simple: Here we are, April 2008.

As it stands we are getting our ducks in a row. We have had a few meetings regarding our future and have played a secret show.

Concisely, all we are really doing is writing and working to get our album out there. The day to day grind of our lives, that mundane unavoidable, is not for these pages.

I will say we look forward to getting to Europe in the Fall. I will certainly say that the band is doing well, we get along, we are writing continually.

Tonight I go to Casa Pantella to record again. The song we recorded a few weeks ago, written by Garrett, is coming along. The song has no proper title yet.

You know -- I am ridiculous: I was reading over this and forgot that this is about the music I do. It is not specifically a RiotGod blog.

A few weeks ago I participated in Hell Lab 2, an improvisational music collab which took place on the East Side of Manhattan in a basement. I wanted to place a clip from the DVD on Youtube, but a sector of my DVD copy of the event seems to be bad and even DVD Shrink cannot get the friggin VOB to avi.

I am not sure what was logged for the last entry here. Truthfully, obviously there is not going to be much to place here during this beginning period. The days of recording are few now and as the winter drags, we rehearse, our next show being with the Supersuckers at the Asbury Lanes.

I am working on a t-shirt design.
